Email hello@ashvara.io and a person will read it. If a tithi or time looks wrong, tell us your city, the date, and what your sangh's panchang shows.
Which tradition does Tithi follow?
Shwetambar Murtipujak, by the Tapa Gachchh rule for parva tithis ("kshaye purvā tithiḥ kāryā, vṛddhau kāryā tathottarā"). When a parva tithi is kshay, the preceding apva tithi is dropped; for Punam or Amas, Teras is dropped. When a parva tithi is vriddhi, the preceding apva tithi is doubled. Settings → Calculation can switch to the plain udaya tithi.
A tithi differs from my printed panchang
Tithi calculates from your own city's sunrise. Printed Tapa Gachchh calendars are based on the Mumbai panchang, so on a rare day when a tithi changes very close to sunrise the two can differ, most often outside India. Please follow your sangh on such days.
How are the pachchakhan times worked out?
Navkarsi is 48 minutes after sunrise. Porsi, Sadh-porsi, Purimaddh and Avaddh are 1, 1½, 2 and 3 prahar after sunrise, where a prahar is a quarter of the day's daylight (Settings can switch to fixed 3-hour prahars). Chovihar is at sunset, or 48 minutes (2 ghadi) before it.
The times are for the wrong city
Tap the city name at the top of Today, then "Use my current location" or pick a city from the list.
The pachchakhan audio sounds robotic
The audio uses your phone's Hindi voice. For a clearer one, download an enhanced Hindi voice in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → Hindi; Tithi uses it automatically.
I'm not getting reminders
Open Tithi's Settings and check the reminders are on, then check iOS Settings → Notifications → Tithi is allowed.
Adding widgets
Long-press the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap +, and search for Tithi. There's a Today widget and a Next pachchakhan widget.
