Support

Email hello@ashvara.io and a person will read it. Tell us which iPhone you have and what the room sounded like — a fan, a white-noise machine, a partner — and that is usually enough to answer straight away.

Where should the phone go?

On the nightstand, one to two metres from your head, screen down or propped, charger connected. The mic check before you sleep tells you whether the room is quiet and whether a steady machine sound is running.

It says "Not enough data"

Sessions under three hours do not get a Snore Score, because the numbers cannot support one. The timeline, the events and the clips still appear, and you can still mark anything that was not you. Aim for a full night.

It heard the fan / my partner / the dog

That is what curation is for. Tap the clip, choose what it really was, and it leaves the score immediately. Dismissed marks fade to an outline on the timeline; tap one to restore it. To mark a whole stretch of the night at once, open Events and use Mark a range.

A white-noise machine is running

A loud, steady machine can hide quiet snoring. SnoreScope tells you when the mic check hears one, keeps the record honest rather than guessing, and will still find louder snoring. If you can, place the machine further from the phone than you are.

The score dropped after I dismissed a clip — is that right?

Yes. The Snore Score is made from confirmed events only: how many minutes per hour contained snoring, and how loud those minutes were compared with your own room's quiet level. Remove an event and both numbers change. The formula is on the How your score works screen, with last night's actual figures filled in.

Recording stopped during the night

Calls, alarms and Siri interrupt the microphone; SnoreScope resumes automatically and draws the gap on the timeline as "not recorded". If the phone was very warm it switches to logging loudness only and says so on the morning summary. If iOS closed the app because the battery ran out, keep the phone plugged in tonight.

Battery

A full night uses roughly fifteen percent on a recent iPhone, because the classifier only runs when the room is louder than its quiet level. Plug in anyway; the app suggests it when the battery is low and never blocks recording.

Remedies and factors

Add a remedy under Trends → Remedies, then mark each morning whether it was on. After three nights with and three without, the comparison shows honest averages of score, snore minutes and loud events. Tags work the same way: three nights with and three without a tag before it appears in Factors. The app never says a remedy "works" — it shows what your nights looked like.

The doctor report

Trends → Doctor report. Pick a range, add your name if you like, and share the PDF. It is a record of sounds to discuss with a clinician, and says so in its footer.

Restoring a purchase

Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. SnoreScope Pro is a one-time purchase with Family Sharing, so it restores on any device on that account. Recording, curation, the five loudest clips and seven nights of history keep working whether or not you unlock.

iCloud backup

Settings → iCloud backup (Pro) keeps your nights in your own iCloud so they follow you to a new phone. It takes effect the next time the app opens. We never have access to it.

What SnoreScope is not

SnoreScope is a second pair of ears, not a diagnosis. It is not a medical device and cannot tell you whether you have sleep apnea or any other condition. If you gasp or choke at night, stop breathing, or wake unrefreshed most days, talk to a doctor regardless of what the app shows.
