Privacy Policy

SnoreScope collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no tracking and no analytics. Your bedroom audio is processed and stored only on your iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. SnoreScope has no servers and no account system. Every night you record, every detected sound, every clip, tag and remedy is stored inside the app on your device. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else.

The microphone

The microphone is used only during a listening session you start yourself, and stops when you stop it. Audio is analysed as it arrives by Apple's on-device sound classifier. SnoreScope never stores the full night: it keeps only short clips, about fifteen seconds each, around the moments it detected, and only up to a capped number per night. You can play, dismiss or delete any clip at any time, and clear all clips in Settings.

Tracking & analytics

SnoreScope does not track you. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising or attribution SDKs, collects no usage data or device identifiers, and makes no network requests of its own. The App Store privacy label for SnoreScope is "Data Not Collected".

Other people in the room

SnoreScope cannot tell who in the room is making a sound; everything it shows describes sounds in your bedroom. Laws on recording other people vary by place. If someone shares your room, it is your responsibility to have their agreement.

iCloud backup (optional, Pro)

If you turn on iCloud backup, your nights, events and clips are stored in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, in a private database that only your Apple Account can read. We have no access to it. Turn it off in Settings at any time; deleting the app and its iCloud data removes the copy there.

What leaves the app, and only when you choose it

• Doctor report. Exporting a report hands the PDF to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is entirely your choice — we never see it.
• Sharing a clip. Sharing a clip works the same way, through the share sheet, to a destination you pick.
• Support email. If you email us, we see what you send us and nothing else.

Health information

SnoreScope records sounds. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose any condition, and does not read or write Apple Health data. Anything you infer from its record is yours to discuss with a clinician.

Purchases

SnoreScope Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app is told only whether the purchase has been made; validation is handled by Apple's App Store. Please see Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles transactions.

Deletion

Deleting the app deletes everything with it, and Settings → Delete all data does the same without deleting the app. Because nothing is uploaded, there is no copy for anyone — including us — to retrieve, export or delete on your behalf.

Children's privacy

SnoreScope is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
