Net collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no tracking and no analytics. Your offer letters stay on your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. Net has no servers and no account system. The offers you add, the lines Net reads from them, your corrections, and your four-year and payback settings are stored in the app on your device, encrypted by iOS whenever the phone is locked. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
Your offer letters
Aid letters often carry a student's name, address and student ID. Net reads each letter on your phone, with the PDF's own text or Apple's on-device text recognition, and keeps a copy of each page so it can show you where every number came from. Those page images stay inside the app with the rest of your data. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is used to train anything.
Camera and photos
Net asks for the camera only when you scan a letter, and sees only the photos or screenshots you pick. It never browses your photo library.
Tracking & analytics
Net does not track you. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising or attribution SDKs, and collects no usage data or device identifiers. It makes no network requests of its own.
What leaves the app, and only when you choose it
- Share card. Sharing the real-price card hands an image to the iOS share sheet. The student's name is never on it, and you can hide the school's name.
- Family PDF. Exporting the decision PDF hands it to the share sheet. The student's name isn't on it.
- Appeal letter. "Send by email" opens your own mail app with the letter filled in; you choose whether and where to send it. The student's first name appears only there, and only if you enter it.
- Support email. If you email us, we see what you send us and nothing else.
Purchases
The Net unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. Net is told only whether the unlock has been bought. Please see Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles transactions.
Deletion
Swipe an offer to delete it and its page images, or use Settings → Delete all offers. Deleting the app does the same. Because nothing is ever uploaded, there is no copy for anyone — including us — to retrieve or delete.
Children's privacy
Net is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including students under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated date above will change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
