Privacy Policy

Apex collects nothing. There is no Apex account, no server, no tracking and no analytics. Your drives stay on your iPhone.

What we collect

Nothing. Apex has no servers and no account system. Your drives, routes, cars, collections and settings are stored on your device and are never transmitted to us.

Location

Apex uses your location to record the route, distance, speed and elevation of your drives.

• While Using: Apex records only drives you start yourself.
• Always (optional): Apex notices when you begin driving and records the drive on its own. While you're parked it uses only low-power significant-change and visit monitoring, and it switches to precise GPS only during a drive.

Location data is saved on your iPhone only. Turn auto-detect off in Settings, or change Location access in iPhone Settings › Apps › Apex, at any time.

Motion & Fitness

Apex uses motion activity to tell driving from walking or cycling, and the motion sensors to measure peak g-force during a drive. This data is processed on your device and not stored beyond each drive's summary.

Place names

To title a drive with where it started and ended, Apex asks Apple's geocoding service (part of iOS) for the name of the area at the two endpoints. Apple handles these requests under its own privacy policy. Apex sends nothing to us.

Live Activity, widgets and notifications

These show your current or recent drive on your own devices (Lock Screen, Dynamic Island, Home Screen and CarPlay). If you allow notifications, Apex tells you when a drive is saved. Nothing is sent to us.

Sharing and export

Share images and GPX files are created on your device and sent only where you choose to share them.

Tracking & analytics

Apex does not track you. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising or attribution SDKs and collects no usage data or device identifiers.

Purchases

Apex Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple. We never see your payment details; the app is told only whether Pro is unlocked.

Deletion

Delete a single drive from its card, or everything from Settings › Delete all data. Deleting the app removes everything Apex stored on that device.

Children's privacy

Apex collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change.
