Hear what your night sounds like.
SnoreScope listens while you sleep and shows you the whole night in the morning — snoring, coughing, sleep talking, drawn on one timeline you can correct. It all happens on the phone.
- Everything runs on your iPhone. No account, no server.
- Free every night. Pro is one payment, never a subscription.

One night, end to end
That flat stretch around three in the morning is a gap where nothing was recorded. The app draws it rather than smoothing it over, because a record you can trust has to show what it missed.
Three things most recorders don’t do

01
The night on one timeline
Snoring is drawn as warm marks sized by how long and how loud it was. A cough or a bark is a dot. If a call or an alarm interrupted recording, that gap is drawn honestly rather than smoothed over. Tap any mark to hear it.

02
Mark what wasn't you
The fan. The person next to you. The dog. Tap the clip, say what it actually was, and it leaves the score. This is the part no amount of on-device cleverness can do on its own — only the person who was in the room knows.

03
A score you can check
The Snore Score runs 0 to 100 and is made of exactly two published numbers: how many minutes per hour contained snoring, and how loud those minutes were against your own room's quiet level. The formula is printed on a screen inside the app. Under three hours gets no score at all, because the data doesn't support one.
Private because of how it's built, not because we promise
The microphone runs only during a session you start. Audio is analysed and stored on your iPhone using Apple's on-device sound classifier. Only short clips around detected events are kept — never the whole night.
- No analytics, no tracking, no third-party code of any kind.
- No network calls anywhere in the app. There is no server to send anything to.
- iCloud backup is optional, off by default, and goes to your iCloud — not ours.
- Delete the app and every night goes with it.

What it can’t do
An app about honest recording that oversells itself would be a contradiction. These are the limits, stated before you pay rather than after.
It cannot diagnose anything
SnoreScope reports sounds and patterns. It is not a medical device and cannot detect sleep apnea or any other condition. If you gasp or choke at night, stop breathing, or wake unrefreshed most days, talk to a doctor regardless of what this or any app shows.
It cannot tell who is snoring
Everything it shows describes sounds in your bedroom, not a person. That is precisely why you can mark a clip as someone else's and have it leave your score.
A white-noise machine will hide quiet snoring
A loud steady machine masks soft snoring, and measured against our test corpus recall drops to about 0.58 when one is running. The mic check tells you when it hears one before you sleep, and the record stays honest rather than guessing.
A short night gets no score
Sessions under three hours are recorded and shown, but no Snore Score is calculated. Two hours is not enough to say anything about a night.
Loudness is relative, not calibrated
Levels are comparable night to night on the same phone. A phone microphone is not a calibrated instrument and the app never pretends otherwise.
Put it on the nightstand tonight.
