Frequently asked

How much does Seal cost?

The first 10 signings are free, with full journaling and a certified export so you can feel how it works. After that, a single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited entries and exports - no subscription, ever. Your record is always yours to read, verify, and export.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Logging an act, capturing signatures and thumbprints, recording fees and mileage, and generating certified PDFs all work with no internet connection. Changes sync privately through your own iCloud once you're back online.

Where is my data stored?

On your device and in your own private iCloud, synced across your iPhone and iPad. Seal has no account of its own and collects no data - your iCloud data is private to you. You can export your full journal and books any time.

Which states does Seal support?

Seal launches with compliance rulesets for California, Florida, Texas, and New York, with more on the way. The entry form adapts to your commission state - required fields, fee caps, and whether a thumbprint is required.

Is Seal legal advice?

No. Seal maintains a per-state compliance ruleset and a tamper-evident record to help you keep a complete, defensible journal. It is not legal advice, and acceptance of an electronic journal as a primary record varies by jurisdiction - confirm your state's requirements. Seal surfaces when a ruleset is pending verification so you always know what to double-check.

How is my signers' information protected?

Signer ID numbers are stored as a one-way encrypted hash, never as plain text. Thumbprints and signatures are stored only on your device and your private iCloud, and are redacted on exported records by default.
