How much does Cue cost?

Cue is free — permanently, not as a trial — for full voice-following on scripts up to 200 words. One payment unlocks unlimited script length, mirror mode, second screen, record while prompting, and display presets. There is no subscription.

The prompter isn't following me. What now?

Three things to check, in order:

1. Is your language ready on this iPhone? Open the language picker. Cue splits languages into Ready on this iPhone and Needs one setup step. iOS keeps each language's speech model on-device and only installs the ones you've added, so add yours in Settings → General → Keyboard → Dictation Languages. Cue cannot download it for you.
2. Did Cue ask for the microphone? Voice-following needs microphone and speech-recognition permission. Both can be re-granted in Settings → Cue.
3. Is the room very noisy, or the phone far away? Recognition degrades with distance and echo. Move the phone closer, or use fixed-speed mode for that read.

It stopped moving in the middle of a read.

That's usually Cue doing its job. If it can't confidently tell where you are — an ad-lib, a misheard word, a long pause — it holds rather than guessing, because a prompter that scrolls away mid-sentence is far worse than one that waits. Keep reading and it picks you up. If it's genuinely lost, it tells you so and you can tap any word to resume from there.

Does it work offline?

Yes, completely. Reading, following, and every mode work with no connection at all.

Is my voice recorded?

No. Audio is matched against your script as it arrives and then discarded. Cue never writes an audio file, and nothing is uploaded.

Which languages does it follow?

English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Korean and Hindi. Languages whose writing has no spaces between words — Japanese, Chinese, Thai — are not supported, because the following engine matches whole words. We'd rather leave them out than ship a prompter that can't actually follow them.

What are the square brackets for?

Anything in [square brackets] is shown on the prompter but never listened for — stage directions like [pause], [rings], or [slide 4]. Without this the prompter would sit waiting for you to say words you never intended to speak.

Can I use it with a beam-splitter rig?

Yes. Mirror mode flips the text horizontally while leaving the controls readable.

Where is my data stored?

On your device. If you enable iCloud sync, scripts move between your own devices through your private iCloud. There is no Cue account and no server.
