Privacy Policy

Cue is private by construction, not by promise. Your script and your voice are processed entirely on your iPhone — they never leave the device, and we never see them.

Data we collect

None. Cue does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data to us or to any third party. There is no Cue account, no sign-up, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.

Your voice

• Cue listens through the microphone only while a read is in progress, and only to work out where you are in a script you already wrote.
• Speech recognition runs on-device using Apple's on-device speech models. Cue explicitly requires on-device recognition and will refuse to fall back to Apple's network-based path — this is enforced in code, not left to a setting.
• Audio is never recorded, never stored, and never uploaded. It is matched against your script as it arrives and then discarded. There is no audio file to leak, because none is ever written.

Your scripts

• Scripts you paste, type or import are stored only on your device.
• If you turn on iCloud sync, scripts are copied between your own devices through your private iCloud account. That data belongs to your Apple Account; Cue has no server and cannot read it.
• Deleting the app removes the local copies. Scripts in your private iCloud are removed through your Apple Account as with any other app's iCloud data.

Permissions Cue asks for

• Microphone — to hear you while you read, so the prompter can follow. Cue works without it in fixed-speed and tap-to-advance modes.
• Speech recognition — to match the words you say against your script, on-device.

Both are requested only when you begin a voice-followed read, and both can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

Offline by default

Cue works fully offline — in a basement, in airplane mode, in a venue with no signal. The only time it may touch the network is Apple's own, Apple-managed download of an on-device language model when you add a new dictation language in iOS Settings. That download is handled by iOS, not by Cue.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Cue never sees your payment details. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Third parties

Cue contains no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs. There are none to disclose because there are none in the app.

Children

Cue is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated date above will change with it.
