Privacy Policy

The short version: Cineo edits your videos, photos, and collages entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or store any of your data. Nothing you shoot or edit ever leaves your iPhone or iPad, and no account is required.

Who we are

Cineo ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS and iPadOS video, photo, and collage editor. It gives you a real multi-track timeline, filters, effects, animations, stickers, text, a dedicated photo editor, and one-tap export — all rendered on your device. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

Data we collect

None. Cineo does not collect personal data. Specifically:

• We do not upload your videos, photos, projects, or exports anywhere — everything stays on your device.
• We do not require an account, sign-in, or any personal information to use the app.
• We do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.

You can verify this yourself: Cineo's editing and export work fully in airplane mode.

Photo and camera access

To edit, Cineo asks your permission to read the photos and videos you choose and, when you export, to save the finished result back to your library. If you use the in-app camera, it asks for camera and microphone access to record straight into your timeline. This media is processed on your device using Apple's frameworks (AVFoundation, Core Image, PhotoKit) and is never sent anywhere. Cineo keeps small preview thumbnails and working files on your device so editing stays fast; they are removed when you delete a project.

GIF search (optional)

Cineo includes an optional sticker/GIF search you can turn on. When enabled, and only then, your search terms are sent to the GIF provider (KLIPY) to return results — the same way any search box works. It is off until you enable it, and no personal information or your own media is ever sent. All other features work entirely offline.

Your originals are never modified

Cineo works on copies you import. It never alters or deletes your original photos or videos in your library — your finished edits are saved as new files only when you choose to export.

In-app purchases

Cineo offers an optional Pro upgrade (a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase) processed by Apple through the App Store. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple using StoreKit; we never see or store your payment details. Restoring purchases uses your Apple ID through Apple, not us.

Children's privacy

Cineo does not collect any data from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ and contains no ads, no tracking, and no account system.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the "updated" date above. Because Cineo collects nothing today, any change would be to add clarity, not to start collecting data without your knowledge.
