How do I put Cabin on my car screen?

CarPlay widgets are added from your iPhone while you're parked:

1. Open Settings › General › CarPlay and tap your car.
2. Tap Widgets › Add Widget. CarPlay shows one stack of up to five widgets, so remove one first if the stack is full.
3. Search "Cabin", swipe to the widget you want, then tap Add Widget.
4. In the car, swipe right past the map to the widgets page. Swipe up on the stack to switch widgets.

Your car needs CarPlay, and your iPhone needs iOS 26 or later.

The welcome sound doesn't play

iOS asks you to switch on a CarPlay automation once:

1. Open the Shortcuts app › Automation › New Automation.
2. Choose CarPlay, tick Connects, and choose Run Immediately.
3. Add the action Cabin › Car Connected.

Check that your car's audio isn't muted, and use Test my welcome sound in Cabin's Sounds tab.

Parking isn't saved when I get out

Add a second automation: CarPlay › Disconnects › Run Immediately › Cabin › Car Disconnected. Cabin needs location access: iPhone Settings › Apps › Cabin › Location › While Using the App or Always. If a fix isn't possible, the Parked tab tells you, and Save here now saves your spot by hand.

Next Up says "Calendar is off"

Open Cabin and allow calendar access, or turn it on in iPhone Settings › Apps › Cabin › Calendars › Full Access.

Next Up has no drive time

Cabin estimates drive time when the event has a location, and when the app opens or CarPlay connects. Without a location on the event, Next Up shows the start time instead.

My widget looks different in the car

CarPlay draws widgets without their usual background. Cabin's Matte theme sits on your car's wallpaper like Apple's own widgets; the other themes draw their own card.

Restoring Cabin Pro

Settings › Restore purchases. Cabin Pro is shared with your Family Sharing group.
