Afterword is the calm, private companion for settling a loved one's estate — a state-aware plan with real deadlines, a full inventory, a document vault, and clean exports. One payment, no subscription.

Getting started

  1. Open Afterword and answer a few gentle questions — your state, whether there's a will, and a little about the estate.
  2. Afterword builds a personalized, ordered plan with real deadlines. Start with the one clear next step.
  3. When the court appoints you, tap I've been appointed and your remaining deadlines get their real dates.

Common questions

Is there a subscription? No. The guided plan and your first deadlines are free. A single payment unlocks the full inventory, document vault, who-to-notify and contacts trackers, exports, and co-executor sharing.

Where is my data? On your device. If you enable iCloud, it syncs through your own private iCloud. Nothing about the estate is ever sent to us.

Why does a deadline say "waiting" or "confirm with your attorney"? Some probate deadlines can't start until the court appoints you, and some depend on facts only your attorney can confirm. Afterword shows these honestly rather than inventing a date.

Is this legal advice? No. Afterword is an organizer. It helps you stay on top of deadlines and records; it does not replace your attorney or the court.

How do I start a different estate? Go to Settings → Start a new estate. Afterword handles one estate at a time.
