Privacy Policy

Afterword collects no personal data. There is no account, no tracking, no ads, and no analytics. Everything about the estate stays on your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Afterword has no servers and no account system. The estate details, deadlines, inventory, contacts, and documents you enter are stored locally on your device (and, if you enable iCloud, in your own private iCloud) and are never transmitted to us or to any third party.
Tracking & analytics
There is none. Afterword contains no third-party SDKs, no advertising, and no analytics. We do not know who you are, what estate you are settling, or that you use the app.
Documents & photos
Documents you scan or import (death certificates, wills, letters, statements) are stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your private iCloud. They are never uploaded to us. Camera access is used only to scan a document you choose to capture.
iCloud
If you enable iCloud, Afterword syncs your estate across your own devices using Apple's private CloudKit database. That data lives in your Apple account, not on our servers, and we cannot see it.
Not legal advice
Afterword is an organizer, not legal advice. It helps you track deadlines and records against published probate timelines; it does not replace your attorney or the court.
