Frequently asked

How do I add a license?

Tap Add a license, choose your profession and state, set your renewal date, and answer a couple of quick questions. Tenure loads that board's specific continuing-education rules and starts tracking immediately. Your first two licenses are free.

What does the status mean?

Each license shows a single status: green (current with room to spare), amber (on track but you still owe something before the deadline), or red (overdue or can't be completed in time). Tenure always shows the exact gap in plain English - and it will tell you when you have all your hours but are still missing a required course. It's computed guidance; you remain responsible for your license.

How does scanning a certificate work?

On the Certificates tab, tap scan and point your camera at a CE certificate. Tenure reads it on-device and pre-fills the provider, date, hours and category. Nothing counts toward your status until you review and confirm it - unconfirmed credits never change your status.

Where do the rules come from?

Each license's requirements are based on the issuing board's published rules, and every requirement shows its source and the date it was last verified. If your credential isn't covered yet, you can build your own rules. Always confirm requirements with your board.

What's free and what's paid?

Everything Tenure does - the status engine, certificate scanning, the private vault, reminders, and audit-ready reports - is included from the start. Tracking your first two licenses is free; the one-time unlock simply removes the limit so you can track unlimited licenses. No subscription, ever.

Will I lose my data if I reinstall?

If you have iCloud enabled, your licenses and certificates sync to your own private iCloud and restore on reinstall or a new device. Without iCloud, data is stored locally on the device.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything stays on your device (and your own iCloud if enabled). Tenure has no account and no servers, and nothing about your licenses or certificates is ever sent to us.
