Terms of Use
Last updated: September 1, 2026
Current is a record-keeping aid. It does not determine airworthiness, and it is not a substitute for a certificated mechanic or for the aircraft's own maintenance records.
What Current is
Current keeps your record of compliance with airworthiness directives and shows that record against a curated ruleset built into the app. It tells you which directives in that ruleset apply to your aircraft, shows the conditions it matched, and says plainly when it cannot tell.
What Current is not
Current does not determine airworthiness. An aircraft's airworthiness is determined by a certificated mechanic, and the aircraft's logbooks remain the legal maintenance record under 14 CFR. Nothing in the app — no status, no count, no exported report — is an airworthiness determination, a maintenance sign-off, or a return to service.
Current is not a substitute for reading the directive. Every rule links to its published text on govinfo.gov, and the published text governs.
Coverage is stated, not implied
Current ships a defined ruleset covering a stated list of aircraft types, printed in Settings and on every exported report. Directives outside that list are not in the app. A short directive list means the ruleset is narrow — it does not mean your aircraft has few directives.
"Can't determine" means exactly that
Where the details you have recorded do not settle whether a directive applies, or when it is due, Current says so and names the question that would settle it. It never resolves an unknown into a pass. Treat those as open items, not as clear.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for verifying each directive against its published text, and for having work performed and recorded by appropriately certificated personnel. You remain responsible for compliance with 14 CFR Part 39 and for the airworthiness of your aircraft.
The ruleset
Every rule is transcribed by hand from published Federal Register text and carries its citation. We take care over that, but transcription can contain errors, a directive may be superseded, and new directives are issued regularly. The ruleset version and publication date are shown in Settings and on every report so you can tell what you are looking at. Check against the published text before acting.
Purchase
The unlock is a one-time in-app purchase for the features listed on the paywall. There is no subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them directly.
Disclaimer & liability
Current is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ashvara is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the app, from reliance on any status it displays, or from any error or omission in the ruleset. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated date above will change.
