Email hello@ashvara.io and a person will read it. Ideas for new skies are very welcome.

How do I use Glimmer?

Pick a sky, turn off the lights, and point the phone at the ceiling and walls. Everything stays in place as the phone moves. Tap anything to hear its name and collect it as a sticker. Tap empty sky for sparkles.

Does it project light onto the ceiling?

No. The sky appears on the phone's screen, like a window. Point the phone up and the stars look like they're on your ceiling.

The sky drifts or doesn't move with the phone

Hold the phone still for a moment when the sky opens. If it still drifts, close the sky and open it again.

How do I leave a sky?

Hold the back button (top left) for one second. It needs a hold so little fingers don't leave by accident. Tap the screen if the buttons have faded away.

Where are the settings?

Tap the gear on the home screen and answer the grown-ups question. There you can set the sleep timer, night dimming, sounds, your child's name and birthday, the Learning Sky language, and record your own voice.

Keeping a child inside the app

Turn on Guided Access in iPhone Settings › Accessibility › Guided Access, then triple-click the side button while a sky is showing.

Blow and clap magic doesn't work

It needs microphone access: iPhone Settings › Apps › Glimmer › Microphone. Make sure "Blow, clap and shake magic" is on in Glimmer's grown-up settings. Blow steadily at the bottom of the phone, or give one sharp clap.

There is no sound

Glimmer's chimes follow the ring/silent switch. Check the switch and the volume, and that sounds are on in Glimmer's grown-up settings.

All Skies

Eight skies are free. All Skies unlocks eight more for one payment. To restore it on a new phone: Settings (grown-ups) › Restore purchase, signed in with the Apple Account that bought it. Family Sharing is supported.
